Programme Coordinator, Professional Programmes
Location: 30 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3EE (hybrid working)
Contract type: Full time and permanent (35 hours per week)
Sotheby’s Institute of Art is seeking a Programme Coordinator to join the Professional Programmes team in London, supporting the delivery of a portfolio of industry-focused courses. This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of Professional Programmes, helping to deliver a high-quality experience for students, lecturers and visiting professionals.
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager and working closely with the Senior Programme Coordinator, the postholder will support the administration and delivery of a range of in-person programmes, including 12-week and intensive 5-day courses. The role combines programme coordination, student support, communications and operational administration, requiring strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities include coordinating course schedules and logistics, maintaining programme information on Canvas, supporting student communications, preparing course materials, organising site visits and field trips, arranging programme events, maintaining attendance records and assisting with budget administration. The Programme Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for students and lecturers, working collaboratively with colleagues across Admissions, Finance, Facilities, IT, Careers Services and the Library to ensure programmes are delivered effectively.
The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience gained within a professional, educational or service-led environment, together with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy is essential.
Experience of using Canvas or a similar virtual learning environment would be advantageous, as would an interest in the visual arts.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class professional education within a globally recognised institution at the centre of the international art world. On-site attendance is required during programme delivery periods.
