Applications are invited for a Strategic Partnerships Project Support Officer to join the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS) Division at the University of Oxford.
The MPLS Division is establishing a new Strategic Partnerships Project Management function to strengthen how the University develops and delivers high-value collaborations with industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team at the point of creation and help shape how it operates.
Working closely with the Head of Strategic Business and Partnerships and Strategic Partnerships Project Managers, you will play a central role in the day-to-day operation of the team and its portfolio of activities. Responsibilities will include coordinating project meetings, workshops, industry visits and stakeholder events; maintaining project information, plans and shared resources; monitoring actions and progress; and contributing to reports, briefings and communications.
You will work closely with academics and professional services colleagues across the University, as well as external partners, and will act as a key point of contact for designated activities. You will also coordinate the Industry Champions Network, maintain the team’s webpages and digital resources, and help develop effective processes and ways of working as the new function grows.
This is a busy and varied role that would suit an organised, proactive and collaborative individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be confident managing competing priorities, using your initiative and building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
This is a great opportunity to join a new and ambitious team working at the interface of academia and industry, and to contribute to the future development of strategic partnerships across the MPLS Division.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description.
The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon on 5 November 2026. Interviews are expected to take place on 3 December 2026.
