The University of Warwick’s campus is busy day and night, with people teaching, researching and living in its buildings. Keeping those buildings safe depends on work most people never notice. We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter who specialises in fire doors and fire stopping to join the Building Fabric Fire Team in our Estates Maintenance department.
About the role
You’ll carry out statutory, planned and reactive maintenance of the University’s passive fire protection. That means inspecting, repairing, remediating and replacing fire doors, and installing and maintaining fire stopping systems across campus. You’ll also deliver fire compartmentation works and support fire safety inspections and surveys. Every job you do will meet the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
