College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences | Brunel University of London
This role provides an exciting opportunity to join the Physiotherapy team within the Department of Health Sciences. You will be part of a motivated and collaborative academic team committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate, postgraduate and professional healthcare education. The Department sits within the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences and provides a vibrant, multidisciplinary environment.
We are particularly seeking applicants with contemporary clinical expertise in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, including experience in one or more of the following areas: respiratory care, critical care and cardiac rehabilitation. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy programmes and, where appropriate, to wider postgraduate and advanced practice education.
You should hold a professional qualification in Physiotherapy and be eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or an equivalent professional regulatory body. You will have relevant educational experience gained within either clinical practice or higher education, together with current knowledge of physiotherapy practice and the issues affecting healthcare and professional education. Evidence of continuing professional development is essential.
You should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification, normally at Master's level, OR demonstrate equivalent professional experience and expertise. You will also be expected to demonstrate evidence of scholarly, educational or professional practice activity relevant to physiotherapy, healthcare or clinical education. For applicants seeking appointment through the Professional Practice pathway, substantial contemporary clinical expertise, clinical leadership, service development or evidence of impact within practice may provide evidence of this contribution. This post may particularly suit an experienced clinician wishing to combine an academic role with ongoing professional practice.
