This is an exciting moment to join us. We’re boldly reimagining what a university can be: a place rooted in social mobility, a community where difference is celebrated, and an institution that empowers people to become more than they thought possible.
Bucks New University is seeking an experienced and motivated Recruitment Consultant to help establish and deliver its new Unitemps service.
Unitemps is a university-led recruitment service that connects students, graduates and members of the wider community with temporary, permanent, internship and graduate employment opportunities. The service will form an important part of Bucks New University developing a Jobs and Careers Service, providing access to paid work while helping University departments and external organisations meet their recruitment needs.
Reporting to the Unitemps Branch Manager, you will manage end-to-end recruitment activity for a portfolio of internal and external clients. You will work with recruiting managers to understand their staffing requirements, prepare and advertise vacancies, attract and screen suitable candidates, coordinate selection activity and support successful placements.
You will develop strong relationships with students, graduates, University colleagues and employers, providing a professional and responsive service throughout the recruitment process. You will also contribute to business development and marketing activity, identify new clients and employment opportunities, attend recruitment and networking events, and promote Unitemps across the University and within the wider business community.
A key part of the role will be ensuring that recruitment and placement activity is accurate, efficient and compliant. You will complete and monitor relevant onboarding and right-to-work checks, maintain high-quality candidate and client records and ensure that vacancies and placements meet the required standards.
You will have proven experience of recruitment, account management, employer engagement or a closely related service. You will be able to manage multiple recruitment assignments, build trusted relationships and communicate confidently with candidates, hiring managers and senior stakeholders. Experience of generating new business and working within a compliance-led environment would be particularly valuable.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who combines a results-focused approach with a strong commitment to customer service and the student experience. You will play a direct role in increasing the number, range and accessibility of paid employment opportunities available to Bucks students and graduates.
If you have the qualities and attributes representative of the University’s values and ambition, we would be delighted to hear from you.
