Are you an experienced academic leader with a proven record in education and the drive to shape the future of management education? We are seeking a Chair and Associate Dean (Education) to lead education at Sheffield University Management School, bringing colleagues together around an ambitious vision, supporting their development and establishing the programmes and systems needed to turn that vision into practice.
Joining a research-intensive, triple-crown accredited business school (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA), you will draw on your educational leadership to advance contemporary programmes and innovative teaching while ensuring a consistently excellent student experience. Our ambition is to equip students to turn ideas into action and shape the organisations and societies of the future
You will bring a clear vision for management education and the ambition and drive to put it into practice. We are looking for someone who takes the initiative, recognises opportunities and brings colleagues with them, with a proven record of leading change and delivering sustained improvements in education and student experience.
Experience of designing, developing and delivering teaching programmes is essential, alongside the ability to lead programme development through others, develop colleagues and establish effective systems for delivery. Your record should show how you have worked with colleagues to turn critical review into improvements with demonstrable impact. You should also be able to build external relationships and turn those connections into opportunities for students and the School.
The Associate Dean for Education is the strategic lead on the School Executive Team responsible for the delivery of the component elements of the Education pillar. More broadly, the Associate Dean supports the Dean in delivering a range of collective and individual activity within the school, designed to improve all aspects of the Schools performance in Education and Student Experience.
