About role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Course Administrator to play a pivotal role in the establishment and development of an exciting new postgraduate programme at the University of Oxford.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the programme at an early stage and help shape the administrative support that underpins its success. The course will welcome its first students in September 2027, initially offering part-time Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) and Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) pathways. With hopes to develop the programme to MSc level by 2028, the postholder will be central to supporting the programme through its initial launch and subsequent development.
Working closely with academic staff, teaching faculty and professional services colleagues, the Course Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support throughout the student journey, from initial enquiries and admissions through to teaching delivery, assessment and progression. They will help ensure that students receive a high-quality experience and that the programme runs efficiently, professionally and in accordance with University policies and procedures.
About you
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy and evolving environment. You will be confident communicating with a wide range of people, comfortable working independently and able to build effective relationships with academic colleagues, professional services teams and students.
As this is a new programme, the successful candidate will need to be flexible, resourceful and willing to help develop and refine administrative processes as the course becomes established and expands. Previous experience of university administration would be a significant advantage, particularly experience of supporting postgraduate programmes, student records, admissions, assessment or academic administration.
Above all, you will be someone who takes pride in providing an excellent service and recognises the important contribution that effective administration makes to the success of a postgraduate programme.
