We're looking for an organised and proactive Accommodation Officer to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the College's accommodation portfolio. This is a varied and highly collaborative role, ensuring that student, Fellow and vacation accommodation is allocated effectively and managed efficiently throughout the year. Working closely with colleagues across the College, you'll play a key role in delivering a positive residential experience while helping to maximise the use of accommodation and supporting the College's operational and commercial objectives.
You'll work closely with the Director of Operations, Housekeeping, Tutorial Office, Maintenance, Finance, Events and the Porters' Lodge to ensure accommodation records, allocations and occupancy information are accurate and up to date. You'll oversee student room allocations, manage accommodation requests, maintain licence agreements and coordinate the annual room ballot process. The role also involves supporting vacation accommodation arrangements, updating resident communications and ensuring accommodation-related information across systems, guides and College publications remains current and compliant.
Success in this role comes from excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You'll be confident communicating with a wide range of people, including students, Fellows, contractors and colleagues across the College, and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. You'll also be comfortable using the Microsoft suite and accommodation or booking systems to maintain accurate records.
To be successful, you'll bring experience of facilities management, residential accommodation management or a similar operational environment, alongside strong analytical and communication skills. Experience within an educational-based setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter (by email) via the ‘Apply’ button above (hr@murrayedwards.cam.ac.uk) by Sunday, 15 November.
