Job description:
Shape the future of Life, Clinical and Health Sciences
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced academic leader to provide strategic leadership for our growing School of Life, Clinical and Health Sciences, shaping a distinctive and forward-looking academic portfolio that responds to the evolving needs of students, employers, healthcare providers and the wider economy. You will lead and inspire academic and professional teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration while driving the development of new academic provision and opportunities for sustainable growth.
A key priority will be to identify and develop new areas of provision, with an understanding of Pharmacy education particularly welcome, alongside the ability to translate emerging opportunities into successful and sustainable academic programmes. You will also play an important role in expanding apprenticeships and work-based learning in alignment with the University's academic and workforce strategies, building strong partnerships with industry, healthcare organisations and professional bodies to enhance curriculum development, placements, research, knowledge exchange and graduate employment.
You will bring a strong track record of academic leadership, with the credibility and vision to lead through change, develop colleagues and deliver strategic priorities. Combining academic expertise with commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills, you will have experience of developing provision, improving student outcomes and translating strategic ambitions into tangible results. Above all, you will be a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who can bring people together around a shared vision, champion innovation and ensure the School makes a meaningful and lasting contribution to students, employers, the professions and the communities it serves.
