About the role
As Senior Pensions Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in the delivery of the University's pension administration service, acting as the first point of contact for a wide range of pension-related enquiries. You will work closely with colleagues across HR and Payroll, pension scheme providers, trustees and University employees to ensure pension processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with legislation and scheme requirements.
You will coordinate a range of pension activities, support communications to scheme members, maintain accurate records and provide guidance on pension procedures and regulations. The role also involves producing reports, monitoring service delivery, contributing to process improvements and helping ensure compliance with relevant pension legislation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pensions professional who enjoys working collaboratively, providing expert advice and making a positive contribution to the employee experience.
About you
You will have experience in pension administration and a strong understanding of UK pension legislation and employer compliance requirements. You will be confident managing a varied workload, balancing competing priorities and working independently while contributing effectively as part of a small, supportive team.
You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, enabling you to explain complex pension information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records are essential. You will also be comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage information and produce reports.
A relevant pensions qualification, experience within a university or similar organisation, and knowledge of UK tax and National Insurance legislation would be advantageous.
