About the role
You will join the Bodleian Libraries’ Content Procurement team, working collaboratively with fellow Acquisitions Senior Assistants to help acquire and process printed books and serials for the University’s collections. You will support ordering, receipting, invoicing and donations, helping the team meet service targets and make resources discoverable and accessible.
You will check bibliographic and supplier information, create and update records and orders in the Integrated Library System, respond to enquiries, liaise with suppliers and colleagues, and process incoming materials.
There are four permanent roles available, working 36.5 hours per week. Part-time working will also be considered. Some home working (up to two days per week) may be possible after full training, although many duties must be carried out on site.
About You
You will have good communication skills, experience of working with financial data, and strong attention to detail when handling bibliographic information and figures. You will be able to organise your workload, meet deadlines, adapt to changing service needs, and work effectively both independently and within a small team.
