On the 1 August 2026, the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent formed a pioneering new multi-university group called London and South-East (LASE) University Group.
Should you join us, you will be employed by LASE but will work as part of the University of Greenwich academic division, contributing to its distinct strengths, community and identity while also being part of a wider group that brings together the scale, resilience and shared ambition of both universities.
Through LASE we aim to deliver outstanding education, impactful research, and meaningful regional and global impact.
To support our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Law.
With over 2,000 students and 50 full-time members of staff, the School of Law and Criminology is home to a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes based at our home in the historic Old Royal Naval College.
The successful candidate will work closely with the existing law subject team to help deliver innovative teaching across our range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are specifically interested in candidates who would be able to lead and develop modules in the following areas: employment law, immigration law, wills and probate law, digital law/legal technology or maritime/shipping law.
You must be able to demonstrate a strong teaching profile and a proven commitment to the student experience, including supporting students’ wellbeing. A PhD in a relevant subject is essential, as is enthusiasm, and a commitment to playing a full and active role in the life of the school.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact Jing Bian, Academic Portfolio Lead for Law; J.Bian@gre.ac.uk
