An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Technician to join the School of Literature Drama and Creative Writing in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
The School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing is looking to appoint an experienced Theatre Technician to join the team at the UEA Drama Studio who can assist with the delivery of teaching across UG and PGT levels and the running of the building as a venue.
You will contribute towards the creative performance culture of the UEA Drama Studio. You will need practical experience of all technical aspects of delivering a stage production to a public audience and therefore will have experience of a flexible working pattern. We are especially looking for someone with an express interest in aspects of lighting.
The role involves interacting with students on a regular basis, so you will have good interpersonal skills. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently, a problem solver as well as being a key member of our Drama Studio team.
Our teaching is heavily practical in nature and relies upon extensive use of our theatre facilities. We also have a rich culture of extracurricular performances and visiting productions. Our programme is global in vision, inclusive, and welcomes students from all over the world. Situated in Norwich, one of the UNESCO Cities of Literature, UEA contributes to, and is part of, a vital creative culture.
This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term contract basis until 31 July 2027.
