The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) is a vibrant faculty based in the heart of London with a long tradition of world-leading research and teaching in physics, mathematics, chemistry, informatics and engineering.
A key component of the NMES strategy is the development of integrative interdisciplinary research centres that connect across the university, drive innovation and impact, and enable strategic research funding.
Since 2022 the faculty has supported the emergence of the Net Zero Centre, the Centre for the Physical Science of Life, and King’s Quantum. The Centre for Robotics will launch in Autumn 2026.
Based within the NMES faculty office, the Centre Manager will coordinate the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of Faculty Research Centres under the direction of the Senior Centre Manager, working closely with Academic Directors and faculty academic and professional services colleagues. The post holder will support effective governance, financial administration, operational planning, events, communications and reporting, putting in place practical processes that enable each Centre to deliver its academic mission and agreed objectives.
