About the Role
The Research Coordinator forms a part of a feasibility pilot study taking place in London (Tower Hamlets), Birmingham and Manchester. The Research coordinator will be responsible for aspects of the coordination of the research efforts mostly in Tower Hamlets but will also support the research in Manchester. This will include qualitative and quantitative data collection, management, and analysis under the supervision of a senior researcher. The research coordinator will also liaise with the schools and community-based partners who will be delivering the intervention and with other members of the study team based in the other cities.
About You
A undergraduate degree in a relevant research area, or equivalent experience is preferred. Ideally, you should have experience of working in schools, with youth and families, or in community settings, and with using qualitative and quantitative data and participatory and co-design approaches. Additionally, you should be able to work independently, set deadlines, engage with stakeholders, and be computer literate (advanced Word, Excel, SPSS and NVivo skills). You should also have a record of publication or research outputs commensurate with your experience.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to over 450 staff, 100 PhD students and more than 500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres, and the Centre for Public Health & Policy draws together groups focussing on women’s health, global public health, the national diet, and individual health and lifestyle. The study focuses on implementing a co-designed integrated intervention for youth and parents with the aim to address youth mental health. The intervention will be delivered in schools and possibly in other community settings in Tower Hamlets, Birmingham East, and Manchester.
