The post holder helps lead the Whittington Hospital’s Undergraduate (UG) Medical Education Team and is part of the UCL Medical School (UCLMS) MBBS Management Team. These jointly manage the delivery and quality assurance of the undergraduate medicine degree programme.
The post holder is based at the Whittington Hospital, one of several sites for the MBBS programme, where a wide range of clinical placements are delivered (incorporating ward-based teaching, teaching clinics, clinical skills, simulation, examinations and other forms of learning in the clinical setting).
The post holder will be responsible for the administration and timetabling of local teaching and assessment activities for part of a clinical module and will manage the UG Centre and student services at the Whittington Hospital and their interface with the NHS Trust. They will manage a small team responsible for clinical placements, and provide administrative support for the Director of UG Medical Education.

The successful candidate will have experience in a professional services role, preferably in a Medical School or other academic environment and will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively, motivate a team and promote good relationships. They will be innovative and problem-solving, with critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt and accommodate change. Demonstrable organisational skills including the ability to identify service requirements and design administrative systems appropriate to a student-centered environment is essential.
