Full Time, Indefinite position
Do you have the ability to deliver finance modules in a cross-disciplinary environment? Can your industrial/commercial experience provide a competitive edge to our students?
WMG is a global venture and provides innovative solutions to industry, having an international reputation supporting some of the most advanced research, development and education programmes in the world. WMG has been awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for long term educational partnerships with industry.
Underpinned by the breadth, depth and quality of its research, WMG offers a wide range of courses at all levels for full-time students and for company-based personnel from companies such as Amazon, The Royal Mail, JLR, AstraZeneca, GSK and GE, resulting in a wide range of delivery to satisfy our broad client base.
Working as part of a small team, you will teach accounting and finance generally, but ideally, we are seeking a specialist in management accounting with an interest in costing, pricing and budgeting techniques.
You will hold a professional accounting qualification (or academic equivalent, such as a Masters or Doctorate in the relevant area), and applicants whose experience has been gained in industry are strongly encouraged to apply. Some overseas teaching will also be required on occasion.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your own professional profile and work as part of a successful team, contributing to the development of its teaching and learning activities. In return we will provide a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.
At WMG we are committed to supporting staff to achieve their potential. We currently hold the Athena SWAN Sliver Award and the University of Warwick holds an Institutional Silver Award: a national initiative that recognises the advancement of gender equality, representation, progression and success for all in academia. We are supportive of staff with caring responsibilities including a generous maternity/paternity/adoption/parental leave policy, and onsite childcare facilities. We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
Full details of the duties and selection criteria for this role can be found in the vacancy advert on the University of Warwick's jobs pages. You will be routed to this when you click on the Apply button.
