Lecturer in Information Technology Management (T&S)

The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is looking to recruit a part time Lecturer in Information Technology Management to support the expansion of the School’s BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship.

The successful candidate should have substantial experience in Information Technology Management and must be able to teach in the following areas: Fundamentals of Management; Professional and Research Themes; Business Technology Strategy; Business Analytics/Modelling; and Project Risk Management.

Applicants are required to possess a PhD or equivalent professional experience and have a strong background through achievement in Information Technology Management. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to teach up to a postgraduate level within the area of expertise, and across a range of subjects at a more introductory level, as well as demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment in the process of teaching. Some overseas teaching may be required as part of the School's wide-ranging programmes of study.

This post will be a teaching and scholarship role where the majority of the successful candidate’s workload will be allocated to teaching (60%) and the remaining time will be split equally between administration and scholarship. Scholarship includes writing books/papers, developing course materials and updating online resources; with the agreement of the Head of School this may also include some research activity.

The post is part time (17.5 hrs per week) for 12 months with a starting salary in the range of £40,182-£50,030 per annum (pro rata to £20,091-£25,015) inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro rata to 15 days), defined benefits pension scheme and an interest-free season ticket loan.

The successful candidate is required to take up the position no later than 3 January 2017. This post may be extended beyond its current end date subject to further funding authorisation.
