Salary Grade 8 - £37,768 to £46,414 per annum

Salary Grade 9 - £49,230 to £55,389 per annum

You will undertake teaching, research and administrative duties in line with the Department's learning and teaching, and research strategies, making a contribution to leading & developing high quality research within the SAPPHIRE group and in collaboration with others across the Department. You will also provide contributions to the teaching and administration in the Department, in particular, by contributing to leadership and teaching delivery on the new MSc in Quality and Safety in Healthcare, and contributing teaching to the MRes in Applied Health Research and/or social science teaching on the MBChB within the Medical School.

Candidates will also be expected to contribute to engagement or enterprise activities in support of their own agenda of work and that of the Department/ College. The postholder will also be expected to play an active role in the leadership and management of the department (particularly if appointed at Associate Professor Grade 9). The postholder will contribute to the wider running of the department and offer leadership and coaching to colleagues and students (Grade 9 only).

You will have a track record of social science research applied to healthcare improvement in an area aligned with the SAPPHIRE research group’s interests resulting in high quality publications, and experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
