This role is one of two responsible for the operation and management of a range of student policies including non-academic appeals and complaints, student disciplinary, fitness to practice and fit to study. The post holder will be based in Student Services but work very closely with faculty staff and Academic Services. There will be a particularly close working relationship with senior staff in the Faculty of Health and Social Studies in relation to Fitness to Practise cases.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations, a proactive approach to dispute resolution and an expertise in the interpretation and application of policies.
The role is offered on the basis of 18.5 hours per week and, whilst set hours will be agreed to suit both parties, flexibility will be required to ensure cover for hearings and key university activities.
