Applications are invited for an open-ended, full-time, Lecturer/Senior Lecturer post in the School of Health in Social Science. The post will primarily contribute to the undergraduate MA Health, Science and Society, and also to both research and masters supervision. The post holder will advance research activity, including grant applications, working in research teams and publishing for academic and professional audiences to a level that is commensurate with at least international excellence standards of the Research Excellence Framework.
You will have a track record of research activity in health sociology, health geography, international health, or another research field closely aligned with the taught content of the MA Health, Science and Society. You will be able to furnish evidence of outstanding achievement, commensurate with your career stage, as both an educator and a researcher. As Senior Lecturer, you will demonstrate leadership in education, research, knowledge exchange and academic administration activities, and be working at a national / international level.
Lecturer: Grade U08 (£38,511 -£45,954 per annum). A Market Pay Supplement could be applied to increase this to NHS Band 8a-b (£39,632 - £57,069 per annum)
Senior Lecturer: Grade UE09 (£48,743 - £54,841 per annum). A Market Pay Supplement could be applied to increase this to NHS Band 8c (£55,548 - £68,484 per annum).
