Associate Senior Lecturer - Web Media Production (0.4) - 1 year fixed term

Ravensbourne is seeking to recruit an adaptable, creative and innovative educator in Web content creation, development and production to work on the BA (Hons) Web Media Production and Web Design and Social Media courses. These unique programmes blend core technology and online community skills with design and production management. The successful candidate will work with the Subject Leader to develop the teaching strategy and contribute to the delivery of units on these courses and cross-disciplinary activities across a number of courses within Ravensbourne.

The successful applicant will have an equivalent degree in a relevant subject, with good professional knowledge and experience (both creative and academic) in both the practical and theoretical sides of the Web, social media and Internet culture in general, with excellent organisational and management skills.

Individuals will be expected to have up to date skills in web design and technology, alongside an awareness of the techniques of managing digital production processes, such as Agile and SCRUM, accompanied by a clear understanding of the technical and professional requirements of the future of Internet technology and its impact upon the creative industries. The ability to deliver and develop an innovative curriculum, utilising a variety of different teaching methods, is also a necessity.
