The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £29,809 - £31,432 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The Research Assistant will work on a project funded by the ERC on " Bayesian Networks and Non-Rational Expectations" in the Department of Economics at UCL. Prof Ran Spiegler is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work part-time ( 16 hrs per week) on his ERC project which consists of incorporating tools from the Statistics/Al literature on Bayesian networks to model non-rational expectations in economic environment. The details of these duties will be assigned by the Principal Investigator Prof. Ran Spiegler.
This post is funded for 6 months.
The Research Assistant will have obtained a master degree or equivalent in economics. An aptitude and commitment to high quality research. Experience in microeconomic theory ( specifically, models of bounded rationality in decision theory and game theory) as well as probabilistic graphical models ( Bayesian networks). Effective written and verbal communications skills. Fluency in English is essential. Commitment to UCL's policy on equal opportunities.
