A Lecturer’s post in Adult Nursing has arisen to be based in Barrow-in-Furness. The post is permanent. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the teaching of generic nursing and field specific - Adult nursing. Additionally, the post holder will have a role in student support, practice learning and enhancing the current programme and contributing to the new curriculum for the BSc in Adult Nursing (Hons) due for revalidation in 2019. The post holder must be able to teach groups of students as well as facilitate individual tutorial support and must be confident in a range of teaching methods that are interactive and student-centred. This role will also offer the opportunity to teach at other University campuses.
The Department of Nursing, Health and Professional Practice is a diverse department consisting of a number of teams of healthcare professionals. Programmes are offered to students in the four fields of nursing, continuous professional development, midwifery, paramedic practice and primary care as well as counselling and advanced practice. The department has a growing research profile and staff with a wide range of practice experience which informs the teaching of both profession specific and interprofessional programme content.
