About the Role

As the Curriculum Development Manager, you will:

  • Lead the review and development of our curricula to ensure they remain relevant to and respected by the profession.
  • Manage complex programmes and projects related to curriculum design and development.
  • Develop guidance for curriculum users based on feedback.
  • Act as the go-to point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding RPS curricula.
  • Deliver engaging presentations about RPS curricula to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Success Measures

We have clear, achievable success measures in place. By the end of 2024, you will have developed and implemented a new RPS curriculum review and evaluation policy. By April 2025, you will have successfully led on the programme to revamp our post-registration Foundation curriculum.

What You Bring 

Essential

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent work experience).
  • Postgraduate qualification in education (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in curriculum design and complex project management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.

Desirable

  • Understanding of current health education and regulatory policy.
  • Experience of curriculum design within a post-graduate healthcare environment.
  • Basic understanding of intellectual property principles.

The Team

This role sits in the Assessment & Credentialing team, whose main purpose is to define and assure post-registration standards of pharmacy practice through curricula, assessments, and credentialing.

We are a small but dynamic team made of educational professionals (both pharmacists and non-pharmacists) passionate about improving care through the advancement and assurance of pharmacists in the healthcare system. We are looking forward to welcoming a passionate and experienced individual with curriculum expertise into the team.

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office.
