Marketing at the University of Northampton has never been more important and exciting so we are seeking a social media expert to join our team.
You will be a key member of the Digital Engagement team and take on full management of social media and online community channels for the university in line with marketing and communications plans and KPIs. The role holder will have a passion for all-things-digital, the Higher Education sector and a strong understanding of where social media fits within a Marketing department.
As Social Media Manager, it will be your role to produce integrated digital content on the social networks for the University. This will include creating assets, copy and video content on all University social networks, and implementing plans to grow their presence. As well as the production, editing and publication of blogs and actively seek out digital content ideas.
You will have a demonstrable experience of working in social media and digital content and have strong data interpretation skills. You should have a good understanding of who our stakeholders are and the best way to reach them using social media. You will also have a desire to hit KPIs and think long-term about content strategies designed to make us stand out in a competitive landscape.
You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to influence others.
