Research Strategy and Development Manager, Social Sciences (78759-116)

University of Warwick - Research and Impact Services

Warwick seeks an outstanding Research Strategy & Development Manager for the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The successful candidate will work alongside senior academic colleagues to develop and deliver a strong and sustainable Faculty Research Strategy, and to develop the highest quality research bids to prestigious funders. This will ensure that the Faculty continues to achieve excellence across its research portfolio, creating research with impact from across our strong academic departments and research groupings.

Warwick’s Faculty of Social Sciences is one of the UK’s top concentrations of social sciences research, with Departments that are consistently ranked in the uppermost reaches of national and international league tables. The REF 2014 confirmed our world class quality, with five Social Sciences Departments being in the top five for research outputs.

Two of our Departments topped the Subject Tables for the ‘Times and Sunday Times University of the Year 2014-2015’, and we are the host of two ESRC Research Centres, CAGE (the Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy) and the Enterprise Research Centre.

This makes it an exciting time to join us. In return, we seek a highly motivated professional with the ability to work at the highest level in the development of major research applications, cognate research groupings and partnerships. A proven track record in the development of successful research applications to key strategic funders is essential and some experience of research within an international context would be advantageous.

Informal enquires can be made to Tom Evans, Research and Impact Services, via t.e.evans@warwick.ac.uk, tel 02476574453.
