Professor in Construction Economics (Quantity Surveying)

The Construction programmes, which are housed in the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology, have experienced considerable growth which has led to several new positions, including now a second Professor. The School is now looking to appoint a Professor of Construction Economics, to provide leadership in research and teaching, and help expand the Construction undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In this leadership appointment, you will contribute to the teaching programmes and administration, and will also serve on College and University committees. You would be expected to contribute to line management of academic staff in the discipline and/or academic programme management.

To be successful in appointment to this role, you will have a relevant PhD, an appropriate record of research and publications in a field relevant to construction economics, quantity surveying, construction project management, building technology or construction law. You will also demonstrate strong achievements in research, teaching and engagement, and have demonstrated leadership qualities. Construction industry experience will be advantageous. While a full Professorial appointment is preferred, consideration will be given to applications at the Associate Professor level.
