University of Southampton - Cancer Sciences

The Cancer Sciences Academic Unit in Southampton is renowned for its leading role in cancer immunotherapy and particularly for DNA vaccines to target cancer. In keeping with our long standing interest we are looking to recruit an experienced T cell immunologist to study CD8 T-cell responses to two recently discovered cancer antigens in HPV negative head and neck cancer patients with the aim to target these antigens with DNA vaccines. The overall purpose is to develop new therapeutic interventions for this currently incurable cancer. 

Previous experience in T-cell immunology as well as DNA vaccines is essential for this post. 

The post is funded by Medical Research Council.
