Senior Research Funding Specialist (2 posts) - Research Services, Science Area Office, Robert Hooke Building Parks Road, Oxford
We invite applications for two Senior Research Funding Specialist positions in this friendly, busy and supportive team based in the science area of central Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to utilise their experience of working in a customer focused environment and to continue their development across a range of research support activity.
You will be part of a team specialising in research grant support, working with colleagues in academic departments to advise on grant application preparation, review and approve applications, manage grant offers, liaise with external funders and provide advice to members of the University about external research funding opportunities. In addition, you will play an active role in University-wide and Research Services improvement projects, and contribute to the training of the Research Grants Administrator. You will be an effective communicator, building positive relationships with colleagues and customers, and have the ability to advise and communicate complex ideas both in written documentations and through the delivery of workshops. You will be fully at ease with using databases, spreadsheets and other electronic systems in order to manage your workload.
