Sexual Harassment is a very serious issue and has become a pressing matter to address for all Universities. Goldsmiths, University of London does not tolerate any form of sexual harassment but like many Universities and organisations we have not been immune from the issue.
Our aim is to be sector leading in addressing the issue of sexual harassment and to achieve this we have set out a 10 point plan to tackle this issue, which is available here http://www.gold.ac.uk/about/statements/sexual-harassment/.
As part of this plan we have created a new post to review and improve the framework around reporting and addressing sexual harassment at Goldsmiths.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategy to increase awareness of and prevent sexual harassment. It will also assess current procedures to create an improved framework for reporting and addressing sexual harassment. You will need excellent communication and engagement skills as you will be required to work effectively with stakeholders across the whole institution. You should also have significant experience of best practice and innovations with regard to addressing sexual harassment. You will be part of our Strategic Planning and Projects team and will also have a reporting line to our Deputy Warden.
