UEL are introducing an innovative route for adults to achieve higher education certification and professional awards, through building on their knowledge, and learning how to demonstrate their mastery of the competencies that employers need to close the skills gap. Competency Based Learning (CBL) is a new model for higher education, expanding rapidly in the USA and to be delivered from September 2017 by the University of East London. At UEL, we are convinced that competency-based learning will provide effective, achievable and affordable higher education, exploiting the potential of digital learning backed by dedicated coaching.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead the promotion and sales of UEL’s CBL offering to employers and employees. You will create and foster a diverse range of external stakeholders and contacts as part of an extensive network of interested partners and clients for CBL; work with UEL’s marketing services to develop and maintain marketing materials to promote CBL to employers and employees; and collaborate with UEL’s academic teams to shape and expand our range of CBL products to meet the emerging needs of our markets.
Educated to degree level, you will have excellent verbal and written English skills and experience in marketing and project management in the HE/FE sector. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to be able to promote UEL’s CBL model to attract interested partners and clients. In addition to this you will demonstrate excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills and the ability to work independently and flexibly.
A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by UEL Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEL.
