An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager with excellent interpersonal and customer engagement skills to play a key role in leading and managing activities aimed at increasing the scale and funding of commercial clinical research conducted through the NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN) in the NHS.
A key member of the Business Development and Marketing Directorate, you will represent CRN at meetings and conferences, and to develop business leads, and will travel both within the UK and internationally.
Leading on a broad range of activities involving substantial project work, you will manage business development interactions with commercial research partners across CRN, leading on specific customer accounts and ensuring activities are captured in our customer relationship management system. You will provide guidance and support to NIHR CRN clinical and managerial colleagues on business development activities to ensure the network has a consistent approach. You will use horizon scanning data and business intelligence to advice life sciences companies on the CRN capability and capacity to respond to their requirements.
As an experienced manager with experience of working with life science companies you will have a track record of managing complex projects successfully. Highly organised, responsive, professional in your approach, self-confident and able to deliver to tight deadlines, you will be skilled in in building effective relationships across organisations and have experience of collaborative working.
Educated to degree level in a related discipline or with equivalent experience you will have understanding of the UK clinical research environment, you will have strong written and verbal presentation skills along with strong data and analytical skills. Excellent negotiating skills along with knowledge and experience of working with Life Science companies will support you well in the role.
University Grade 8 (£39,324 - £46,924 p.a.) depending upon qualifications and experience.
