The Division for Roman Law and Legal History is looking for a PhD researcher (on stipend, 4 years) to write a PhD on 'Reprisal and use of force under the law of nations (13th-18th centuries)' in the context of a research project sponsored by FWO, the Flemish Foundation for Scientific Research. The successful candidate has graduated in law and/or history, holds a master degree in either of these fields, and has a good command of Latin. He/she is a team-player who is prepared to contribute to the educational and societal mission of the Faculty of Law within predefined limits.
We offer a PhD scholarship of 4 years, basic infrastructure and funding for international mobility.
