FTE: 0.5 (18.5 hours per week). Fixed-Term (01 September 2017 – 31 August 2018).
The School of Art and Design brings together courses such as Advertising, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Photography, Photography – Editorial and Advertising, Photojournalism, and Documentary Photography, as well as Visual Communication within three subject groups: Art, Design, and Photography.
The School incorporates undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD study with excellence in teaching, research, and design for business.
The purpose of this role
We now have an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and passionate teacher-researcher in Landscape Architecture to join us in achieving our strategic priorities.
You will make a substantial contribution to the academic delivery and development of both the under- and postgraduate Landscape Architecture courses within the Design Subject Group. Knowledge and experience of current landscape practices, together with professional work experience in sustainable landscape design, landscape planning, or environmental/ecological consultancy, is fundamental to the role.
To be successful in your appointment you will be qualifiedat both undergraduate and post-graduate in Landscape Architecture or a relevant area, with experience in curriculum development and teaching at both under- and postgraduate level. You will have a record of research, submission, and REF rating, within the conceptual development of critical ideas and thinking within a design context; we particularly welcome applications from early career researchers and those with industry experience.
