We are interested in recruiting faculty to join a vibrant and growing group of international business scholars.

The successful applicant may have research expertise in any field of international business, but preference will be given to applicants who are able to complement our existing research strengths in global value chains; institutions and the governance of multinational enterprises; entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability; and finance and international business.

More broadly we are concerned with the strategies, operations, and impact not only of large established MNEs but also of small international new ventures.

The International Business group already has a significant reputation within the UK and Europe, in large part because of the very successful European International Business Academy (EIBA) conference hosted at Sussex in December 2012.

We will also be hosting the 2019 conference of the UK & Ireland chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB-UKI). All candidates should be research-active academics who enjoy working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, environment. They will need to have an enthusiasm for teaching and for collaborating with colleagues.

Successful applicants will need to show promise of developing a strong research profile, evidenced by a pipeline of articles for potential publication in internationally-rated journals.

Informal enquiries may be made with the Head of the Department of Business and Management School, Prof Sue Newell (sue.newell@sussex.ac.uk).
