Communications Assistant Social Media

The School of Law (SOL) invites applications for the post of Communication Assistant. It is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School of Law has two organisational units: the Department of Law (DOL) and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS).

CCLS has a team of approximately 40 Professional Service staff and the DOL approximately 20 Professional Services staff to support the School’s teaching and research priorities. The Directors of Administration in the DOL and CCLS are further developing shared working arrangements in the area of marketing and communications which are vital to the Schools continued market presence and reputation. This post will play a significant role in promoting the School’s global reach and internationalisation through the delivery of the engagement and communication strategy.

The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Communications Assistant (web and internal stakeholders) to deliver projects and day-to-day activities relating to the areas of social media, alumni and public engagement.

Candidates will need to have relevant experience of marketing and communication work and of social media community management and marketing campaign. They will need to have strong organisational and time management skills and proven ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.

The post is full time and permanent. Starting salary will be in the range £32,405-£38,062 per annum (Grade 4) inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and an interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
