With marketing and enrolment teams already based in Switzerland, in the schools and in key global source markets for student recruitment, Sommet Education is building a new marketing hub in Central London for its digital marketing, creative and content services and alumni marketing teams, alongside new sales support roles to work with its field network.

This move, focused on building digital and content marketing capabilities, represents a significant investment in the development of the Glion and Les Roches brands in the global higher education market, creating a platform to drive significant future growth in student numbers. It is a great opportunity for ambitious marketers to join an exciting, fast moving international education business in a soon-to-be announced Central London location.

Your Role
Support the development and execution of a strategic alumni marketing plan for Glion and Les Roches, reporting to the Head of Alumni Marketing and taking a specific lead on the following objectives:

  • Build a personal relationship with influential active/inactive but high potential alumni in key priority source markets, working closely with Regional Admissions Directors and their local new student recruitment teams
  • Lead the concept development, creation, organisation and delivery of global and regional alumni events (working with colleagues in the events team) and the support for local alumni chapters based in major cities throughout the world
  • Target influential alumni in priority source markets and work to engage with them in order to activate a long-term relationship that adds value to both parties
  • Source, curate and publish alumni stories and testimonials that evidence and illustrate the value of a Les Roches or Glion education to prospective and current students and to industry partners
  • Source and communicate relevant news and industry intelligence from the wider Glion and Les Roches network to communicate & engage with alumni, re-activate contact where targeted and to enhance the value to the overall proposition
  • Closely support the Head of Alumni Marketing on various projects.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ideally 5 years’ marketing experience in a relevant role in the higher education sector or in a relationship marketing or sales role focused on customer engagement in an international business focused on delivering premium services
  • Exceptionally strong sales or marketing communications skills with a proven track record of engaging customers/partners, encouraging advocacy and activating authentic, long-term B2C relationships
  • Demonstrable track record of marketing success in a global business, with particular achievements in developing a proposition for emerging markets
  • Excellent communication skills and able to influence colleagues at all levels of a business as well as to engage with alumni in-person or remotely (Skype, telephone etc)
