Research Associate - Real-Time Process Monitoring

Fixed-term for 12 months.

The Department of Physics and Astronomy has active research programmes in soft matter physics, semiconductor physics, astrophysics, high-energy particle physics, and biological physics. All of these groups contribute to a dynamic research environment.

We are seeking a Research Associate to work on the design and development of disruptive technologies for real-time control and monitoring of advanced additive manufacturing systems. You will work closely with the other members of the research and commercial team to ensure that the project progresses to higher technology readiness levels.

You will have, or about to obtain a PhD, in Degree in Control Systems Engineering or relevant science or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience). You will have experience of control system design and hardware development and experience in embedded software development.
