The Alumni and Development team at Henley Business School works to inspire develop and engage the Henley Business School Alumni Community and secures support for Henley Business School’s development.

The Alumni and Development team is expanding and we seek to appoint an exceptional and experienced individual as our new Head of Alumni Communication & Community Management. This is an exciting time to join the team at Henley Business School, as we set out to achieve great impact to develop the Henley Business School community, increase our alumni’s sense of belonging to Henley Business School and develop Alumni impact to support Henley Business School development.

The Head of Alumni Communication & Community Management will be responsible for managing the Communication & Community Management team within Henley Business School’s Alumni Development department. In this post you will contribute to the strategic planning of a high quality, impactful communications programme for the global community of alumni, donors and supporters of Henley Business School. You will further manage the development, co-ordination, implementation and analysis of this communication programme and will be the department’s main communications contact person and expert.

As the Head of Alumni Communications & Community Management you will act in an editorial role for the generation and circulation of selected output of Henley Business School faculty’s research to a non-academic audience, with particular focus on our alumni, donor and supporter community.

The Head of Alumni Communication & Community Management will also manage the introduction and ongoing delivery of an online alumni portal.

You will have:

  • Effective communication skills at all levels, both written and oral, with excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience in writing and editing a wide range of communications materials, with evidence of excellent writing and editorial skills.
  • Experience in planning, writing and producing: newsletters, targeted marketing communications or website content and social media content.
  • Extensive experience of using social media for impactful and effective messaging and community building.
  • Good understanding of the role communications play in stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of communicating to global audiences, combined with understanding of a business facing environment.
