Module Tutor for 'Political Economy Perspectives on Development'

Contract type: Fixed-term from 28 September 2017 – 7 February 2018

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is a leading global organisation for research, teaching and communication on international development based in Brighton.

IDS is currently seeking to recruit one tutor for the MA in Governance and Development module ‘Political Economy Perspectives on Development’.  The tutor will be responsible for leading seminars, the preparation of teaching materials, and associated essential administration. S/he should have an understanding of political science and/or development studies; research or experience related to the administration of services to the poor in developing countries is preferred.  

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Development Studies, Political Science, Sociology or a related social science discipline and have substantial practical experience in facilitating learning and knowledge sharing.
