This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher to play a role in the innovate data linkage programme to improve health and health care within the cYorkshire programme funded by Connected Health Cities https://www.connectedhealthcities.org/connected-health-cities

You will be a member of the Public Health & Society Team under the direction of Dr Lorna Fraser within the Department of Health Sciences.  Health Sciences is a vibrant and successful research department with a strong tradition of public health research and teaching, and excellent resources. 

The role will involve the following responsibilities: assisting with study protocol development, design of research studies and statistical analysis of datasets and the dissemination of the results.

You should have a PhD relevant to epidemiology or statistics in health and health services research, knowledge of a range of advanced modelling techniques and methodologies, and experience of utilising routine health and/or administrative datasets.

This is a full-time, fixed term post for 18 months. The post will be based at the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York but with regular travel to Bradford Institute of Health Research and Sheffield; the expectation is that the Research Fellow will spend 1 day each week at BIHR and 4 days at the University of York. Appointments will be made on the University salary scale from £38,173 to £46,924 per year.
