Project Development Officer (Part time)

This post is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) West Wales and the Valleys Programme and East Programme, through the Welsh Government.

You will facilitate and develop research, providing advice, guidance and specialist support within the research area of Integrated Energy Systems as well as pro-actively supporting and encouraging high value research funding applications and related activities. You will provide advice and guidance in the identification of opportunities, and the preparation and writing of proposals for research funding.

You will establish effective working relationships with the FLEXIS (Flexible Integrated Energy Systems) project partners in other Welsh Universities and FLEXIS stakeholders, develop specific working groups, and plan and delivery small-scale projects by co-ordinating and supervising project teams. In addition you will support the development of projects, research and demonstration in the FLEXIS Demonstration Area, maintain records of research award capture for FLEXIS Work Package (WP) 1 and take responsibility for ensuring that the outputs of research undertaken are effectively exploited and disseminated by the researchers.

This post is part time (0.6 fte), and is fixed term until 31 December 2020.
