Salary - Assistant Professor £39,992-£47,722 
Associate Professor £49,149-£56,950

The Warwick Psychology Department – ranked 7th in the UK for the excellence of its publications – is now making a new appointment in Behavioural Sciences, with a special focus on Security-related research. The post will complement and expand existing strengths in our Behavioural Sciences group, an interdisciplinary research group with an international reputation in cognitive and behavioural science. The Group plays a central role in the University's Global Research Priority (GRP) in Behavioural Science, which supports cross departmental collaborations within the University, and our Departmental group works closely with colleagues in Computer Sciences, Warwick Business School and Economics ( Warwick is an official UK government Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research, with substantial security-related research across the University.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and ambitious individual dedicated to high quality research in their field. Their work will have applications to the area of national security, broadly defined, and stem from work in areas that complement and extend existing strengths in Warwick's Psychology Department. They will engage with research across the University, and identify and develop new opportunities for funded research. The successful candidate will also contribute towards the Department’s commitment to conducting world class research of importance to society.

Candidates will hold a PhD in Psychology or equivalent in a closely related subject. Alongside an excellent publication record, the successful candidate will have proven ability to independently attract external research funding. Candidates will be expected to undertake research, teaching, administration and other activities supporting the work of the Department and developing and enhancing its reputation, both internal and external to the University.
