Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, Health, Wellbeing and Care Hub
The University is proud to be launching its Health Wellbeing and Care Hub (HWCH), in partnership with Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System and other NHS partners. Providing an exciting state of the art research and therapeutic space, the Hub aims to transform health, wellbeing and care in the region and strengthen our connection with the community and our sector partners, in Essex, regionally and nationally. The range of activities in the Hub will contribute significantly to the overall development of health and social care in the region and ultimately will benefit society nationally and internationally.
We are seeking to recruit a Psychological Practitioner (Clinical Psychologist, Health Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist) to help set up and co-ordinate the psychological services we offer in the Health Wellbeing and Care Hub (HWCH). You will oversee and play a crucial role in designing and implementing the psychological services in the HWCH and outreach, and provide clinal teaching, and clinical supervision to staff and students working in the Hub. You will work with staff and students to develop clinical placements and oversee and supervise student engagement with a diverse range of service users, including children and adults with developmental and acquired motor, speech, cognitive, language and communication difficulties, individuals with genetic conditions, adults recovering from stroke or another form of brain injury, and individuals with mental health needs.
Overall, the successful applicant will play an important role in the success and smooth operation of the HWCH, by setting up, leading, and delivering high quality, well-regulated evidence-based innovative psychological services to its users.

Qualifications required
The successful candidate will have professional experience or practice equivalent to relevant doctoral level research degree or have or be close to completion of PhD.
You will also possess Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or the ability to gain professional recognition at this or a higher level if appropriate. A HCPC or BPS registration as a Psychological Practitioner (Clinical Psychologist, Health Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist) is also essential for this post.
