Senior Teaching and Research Fellow (Epidemiology)

The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and it provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.

As Senior Teaching and Research Fellow you will assist with the development and teaching of the MSc Global Health Science course and develop an area of research within the Population Studies Group.

The teaching element of the role (50% of your time), will involve taking responsibility for the ongoing development, revision and delivery of the course. You will also act as a module lead in epidemiology, meaning you will be responsible for overseeing the entire curriculum for one of the largest modules in the MSc. The research aspect of your role (50% of your time) will involve developing and leading a programme of research within the Population Studies Group, and taking responsibility for promoting collaborations and seeking additional grant funding.

To be considered, you will have a PhD in epidemiology or a related subject and post qualification research experience as well as experience teaching at graduate level and working as an epidemiologist. You will be proficient with statistical software, particularly Stata, and have experience managing large datasets. You will also need exceptional communication skills and a strong publication record.
