HR Officer (maternity cover)

The Department of Chemistry is looking for an HR Officer to cover maternity leave for up to 14 months within the Chemistry HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be working with three other HR Officers and an HR Administrator in a high activity department. The role will involve working with specific supervisors in the management of recruitment such as advertising and appointments; organising administration including Tier 2 visas where appropriate; managing payroll for your area and providing overall HR support.

You will have excellent communications skills, and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a range of people. You will have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of working in HR is essential, and you will ideally have knowledge of Oracle based HR systems.

The post will be based in the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford.
