We are currently recruiting a high calibre Algorithms Engineer to work on our world-leading face recognition and human behaviour analysis software. The successful candidate will join our algorithms team and work closely with our researchers. You will be responsible for writing highly optimised algorithms that are robust and production ready.

Daily activities might include:

  • Converting a research prototype into a well designed and highly efficient library for our project teams to use.
  • Identifying and implementing an algorithmic solution to a problem, consulting relevant academic literature and our in-house researchers where necessary.
  • Creating an API wrapper for components to allow rapid integration of new algorithms
  • Assessing and prototyping new technology that could benefit the company

The overall compensation package is highly competitive including a very attractive base salary (depending on experience), relocation assistance, plus potential for employee stock options.

Qualifications and skills:

Minimum:

  • BSc degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline/equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in C++, Cuda, Python
  • Experience with OpenCV and computer vision
  • Experience with optimisation and real-time sensor processing
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Significant relevant experience, including signficant industry experience.
  • Experience of machine learning
  • Experience with android
