Lecturer in Clinical Communication (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking another enthusiastic Lecturer to fill this 3 day a week post, for the duration of 1 year (from February 2018) to cover maternity leave. This is an opportunity for someone with an interest or experience in the teaching of Clinical Communication in a healthcare setting to join a well-organised and highly motivated team of Clinical Communication Lecturers to develop and deliver teaching to medical students at this London Medical School.

St George’s has a strong reputation for clinical communication teaching and assessment. The teaching is popular with students and makes an important contribution to the development of competent graduates.

Applicants should have experience of small group teaching or experiential learning in a healthcare setting, preferably in the subject of clinical communication, and a degree or qualification in a relevant discipline such as healthcare, psychology, social sciences etc. Applicants must have experience of teaching and learning at university level.

The salary for the role will be within the SGUL Grade 6/7 range depending on experience.

SGUL 6: £32,548-£38,833 plus £3,027 London Allowance pro rata

SGUL 7: £39,992-£47,722 plus £3,027 London Allowance pro rata
