Research Associate – Virtual Reality Project

The role

This is an exciting position to manage an ambitious Virtual Reality (VR) project to support a fully functional piece of VR software that centres entirely around memory training and its application to different subjects, i.e. how to apply spatial memory techniques – or memory palaces - to the learning process. Working with industry and academic experts in setting up the project with all its core mechanics, user interface, online storage and libraries and deployment over STEAM (http://store.steampowered.com/), you will help Linguisticator delivering a fully functional piece of the VR software, Macunx VR, which offers new and exciting opportunities for making memory palaces a fast and accessible way of learning. 

About Linguisticator Ltd

Linguisticator (https://linguisticator.com/about/) is a small development company based in Cambridge, UK with a large network of experts and freelancers. Through extensive research into languages, memory, and learning methodologies, the company distill and map out subjects so they can explain them in accessible, affordable, and scalable, online courses. They provide solutions for a range of individuals, from adults looking for professional language training, to children with dyslexia or autism.

In addition to the courses visible on their website, Linguisticator also does bespoke development of language training programs. Based on the specific objectives of the company or organization, these programs can be delivered online or offline, and for a range of applications and target assessments. Linguisticator specialize in setting up scalable, objective-driven language training, even in remote or complex environments.
